The Italian Cimolai Group, one of Europe’s biggest steel construction companies, contracts MÜLLER OPLADEN to supply a pipe profile flame-cutting machine capable of profiling pipe up to a weight of 30 metric tons per piece.

February 2004:
Against competition from ESAB and LINCOLN, MÜLLER OPLADEN is awarded a contract worth millions from an Iranian group. The contract covers 5 column & booms (9 x 8 meters) with submerged-arc welding heads, 12 roller beds for loads between 10 and 80 tonnes, and numerous TIG welding power sources.



January 2004:
MÜLLER OPLADEN acquires the know-how and manpower of the insolvent companies PH Maschinenbau and DEG-Technik. In doing so, MÜLLER OPLADEN adds high-grade specialty control systems to its already existing range of welding equipment.



October 2003:
The Aker Warnow shipyard, a member of the Aker Group, places an order with MÜLLER OPLADEN for a fully automatic pipe profile cutting machine complete with CAD link and PPC system. The PPC (Production Planning and Control) system optimizes material process control in the pipe shop.



July 2003:
MÜLLER OPLADEN takes over the welding technology operations of ARC KON GmbH, a specialist in inert gas welding units, with the aim of extending the product range in the welding fixture construction sector and enhancing its worldwide market presence.



June 2003:
MÜLLER OPLADEN is awarded the contract to supply pipe profile cutting machines to Larsen & Toubro, a major group in India, thereby laying the foundations for long-term partnership.



April 2003:
MÜLLER OPLADEN supplies a 700-ampere pipe profile cutting machine for plasma cutting to Energomash in Russia. This machine is the biggest ever built worldwide with such a high amperage for cutting particularly thick-walled pipes.



February 2003:
The license agreement made with a German company in Hagen-Gevelsberg in September 2001 for the production and sale of pipe profile cutting machines, as well as the related service support were terminated retroactively as of February 28, 2003.
As a consequence of this action, only MÜLLER OPLADEN GmbH is now authorized to market, sell, manufacture and service MÜLLER OPLADEN pipe profile cutting machines.
