History
MÜLLER OPLADEN is a German mechanical engineering company with a long tradition. Founded in 1918, it looks back on an almost century-long history.
The first plant built in Bergisch-Gladbach was destroyed in the 2nd World War, so in 1948 the Müller family erected a new plant at its present site in Opladen, a town situated between Cologne and Düsseldorf. Initially, the company concentrated on the production of welding and cutting nozzles. On the basis of the expertise gathered in this field, business was extended over the next 20 years to include cutting torches and welding power sources. By the mid-Seventies, MÜLLER OPLADEN had over 10 lines of business concerned with welding and flame-cutting. However, with the rise of globalization, MÜLLER OPLADEN underwent restructuring in the Nineties. Today, the company is a successful global player in its core competences of the development, manufacture, sale and servicing of CNC-controlled pipe profile cutting machines and automated welding systems.
Even today, the company is still run by a family member in the third generation.
